200 mono bolts installed, running to get more now. I also found a place near me that has the mdo and the right marine grade plywood. I plan on going and talking to them about it and comparing price.

I don't pretend to be a pro alum welder but your welds look great!

Thanks, I have a lot of fab background and tig welding. I have done some welding with a spool gun before but very minimal. The one thing to remember with any aluminum is cleanliness. I would clean it with brake clean, take the shine away with a wire brush, then clean it with brake clean again. Contamination in the weld will really make it difficult with aluminum.

I made some progress this weekend but not as much as I wanted.

I received the majority of the parts today. I should be getting my new antenna and radio kit tomorrow.

I was able to cut most of the wood today. I need to go get another piece tomorrow to finish up.

Yeah cutting the wood and getting it to fit right is one of my favorite parts on a rebuild. Looking good :D

I was very carful on demo of the boat. I was able to use the old boards as templates for the new ones. It made the proses very simple.

That is smart ^^^. Definite time (and brain cell) saver. I'm signing in to follow along, wish you well and see another sea nymph come back from the grave... I have truly loved my boat so far... Yours looks to be a pretty deep hull for a 16 footer.

Keep plugging along.

I know it doesn't look much different but the floor is mounted and ready for foam. I ended up countersinking all the rivets so nothing will be visible threw the nautolex. What do you think I should fill the countersunk holes with? What adhesive should I glue down the flooring with?

After looking this thread over......seeing the welds, the weed and the vinyl........... you are right. SCRAP IT and I will get the closest iboater who lives near you to haul it all away :D You did ask that SCRAP question less then 2 weeks ago!

You are doing great work and honestly you are flying along. Keep going ;)

I'm sorry if you said it and I missed it, but what kind of flooring did you install? And where did you get it?

I ended up ordering the nautolex flooring from defender marine supply online.

It has been a real lazy week for me. I was starting to get burned out with all the hours I have been putting in. Tomorrow I am going to get back on the band wagon because the ice is melting quick. This is what I was able to accomplish last weekend.

Thank and I did ask the scrap question. I was really on the fence about the build at that point and it didn't take much to persuade me to start the rebuild.

I haven't forgotten about you, been really busy with the project. Maiden voyage is tomorrow morning do I will have pictures to follow. I still have some cosmetic stuff to do but she should be sea worthy.
