1990 200 johnson overheating

I just bought this 25' proline and took it out ,ideling out channel the temp gauge went up to high side of normal and buzzer came on.so i shut the motor off waited five mins and started again did the same thing so i took it back in. changed impeller today and on the ears for five minutes did the same thing water was warm but not real hot. what do i do or what could be problem thanks tonka.

does this motor have deflectors in it

you have the motor in salt water ?

ya its a salty but ibring it out every time

salt will buld up in the motor over the time and clog the water lines.
is the motor peeing water?

ok my best guss is the heads a cloged up with salt .
