1989,wellcraft transom glassing

Hello I have. 1989 230 coastal wellcraft I/O mercruiser. I’m at the point now to start fibeglassing. I know I need 6 layers of 1708 for my 1/4” thickness. When I layer them they should be staggered. When you go to the top of the transom where the edge is and also the hull on bottom which is best way to do that. Is itok just to run all layers to the egde and leave it there at the same stopping point being on an edge

On the transition from the transom to the hull sides and hull bottom, staggering gives a better bond, so yeah. Thats considered tabbing.

For the top of the transom, you go full width with all laminates.

The key point to adhere to is:
12 inch minimum for the tabbing of hull sides and hull bottom, and around the key hole you want even parallelism so no overlapping around that opening. Basically, you laminate the entire transom evenly, leaving the keyhole area un wetted, then cut out the dry cloth after the resin cures.
