Did you use any kind of etching or prep formula on the galvanized steel? I was kinda freaked out to paint my trailer cuz I've heard mixed results and the only sure fire method was some sherwin Williams industrial grade chemical etch and elbow grease.

seemed like more than I felt like tackling... at least this year.

actually they said not to use self etching paint because it could cause corrosion under the paint, used zep degreaser/then muratic acid rinsed well then right before i got ready for each piece did a vinegar wipe let that dry like 20 minutes is all it took and i couldn't get moisture with a paper towel then i sprayed. also huge diff between galv thats less then a year old and anything older then a year or two they say is toast and wont shed anymore but i wasn't taking chances:)

Good to know... anxious to see how it holds up. I did hear that muriatic acid or trisodium phosphate (TSP) does work well for stripping off all the old zinc oxides/grease/dirt/etc...

Looks good. Excuse a stupid question. What does a wash line do. Just blow the chunks of weeds and stuff out of there?

I showed the picture to the admiral. I said my friend on the boat site posted it for you. She smiled real big.

I actually like that drill better then my rigid cordless, seems batterys hold up better

On another note my milwaukee batteries die like flies! But the mini sawzall makes me keep it! One of the best plumbing tools to have in the arsenal.
