@Scott Danforth How has the Rogue been treating you? Can I interest you in a set of digital controls :ROFLMAO:
Uh....no

I turn key, boat starts, gauges move.....we go boating.

On a serious note, have to redo the headliner in the cabin because it came down and warped in the heat

Next project on the Rogue is to finish the cabin. Headliner panels started warping with the heat. Hope to get them back in shape

Picked up an annular discharge carb for the Rogue to see if I can get rid of the mid-throttle hesitation

So the HP830 carb I picked up appears to be unmolested other than mud dauber larva in the vent tubes.

Guy I bought it from had it on a 502 in a boat and couldn't get it to idle right. 3 if the 4 idle screws were only 1/4 turn out. One was out 1.5

I told her (jokingly) that she is banned from any power equipment

The Briggs Intek is apparently known for pushrods bending based on the amount of hits I got on my search

About $100 in parts (gaskets, seals, pushrods, oil filter and spark plugs) most of which will be here tomorrow

Just glad her injury wasn't worse

I originally planned on taking the salt shaker out for a run, and then to work on Dad's boat. However as Steinbeck cried out.....even the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry

The classic Holley look….love it!
its an HP830 with annular discharge. the HP850 had down-legs.

took it apart to add o-rings to the shafts and go thru it

my J-tubes just came in, so I will swap them out in the AM.

Sorry to hear about her injury! In our family my wife mows the lawn & I do the more injury prone stuff (weedwacker & hedge trimmer)….I haven’t mowed a lawn in over 20 years all I have to do is keep the mower full of gas & make sure it starts!

so..... finally getting around to new tires for the trailer. date code for the spare that replaced the blow-out is 2002. the date code from the other 3 remaining was 2000

almost full tread, however severely weather checked

4 new tires going on tonight/tomorrow
2 new tires for the spares going on in about a week

doubt the new batch will last even 7 years

I know many scoff at my opinion on this but I have gotten great service out of Kenda Load Star bias ply trailer tires. I run em till I see cracks starting then replace. That works out to about every 7 years. Never even had a flat let alone a delamination. I’m not a fan of radial trailer tires from the Far East….

These are no-name chineseum tires being replaced by chineseum or taiwaneum tires

The old tires were on the trailer when I bought it in 2015 and we're in good shape but old.
