Yeah guys, i guess it is technically a pole barn lol, but since the bubble ended up being a bit too temporary, we overcompensated on this one. :) We did leave the gable end support poles loose in the ground, and jut screwed into the ridge, so i can remove the gable end wall to get the boat out if I choose.

I had to work yesterday, so I was out there today for a bit. Its 55 deg outside today, with 25+ mph winds...the structure doesnt move, but the plastic is getting a workout, I think the osb sheathing on the end walls may be in order..The inside temps are over 80 deg, a little too hot for the epoxy, but i can cure that with the windows. I did finish painting the midsection, and bought the cpvc to run thru the firewall, after i glass the engine side. I was going to install the water tank, but i seem to have a few "extra" parts for the bracing, that i cant remember where they go, so ill have to comb thru my old pics, to see what goes where. Not much was picture worthy, but i have a few ill post up a little later.

You have to LOVE the additional temps your getting! 52 degrees here in pa also with kickin winds, this morning me old fingers and knees felt it. Went out to the boat just now and it's sitting at high 70's Couldn't work today unfortunately because of other obligations but it sure is nice to know you can pull out 15+ degrees for more glass work before the big freeze. Might even get me a camera this week!

Ok gang, ive been really busy wrapping up the ext of the house, but I have worked on the boat, just havnt updated the thread. The following updates are from the past few weeks, a few hours a weekend I squeeze in.

First off, the shelter is holding up nice. It had its first real test in a 30-50 mph wind gust day, which broke the tree in front of the shelter in half..

even without the addition supports I plan to add, no damage

Last sunday, it was sunny and by 11am it was 50 outside, and it got to 70 in the shelter

so I dug out the resin.....

I never got to filleting the engine room last year, except for gluing in the stringers and transom, so I have to cove all that area out to accept the cloth wraps.

Im using west 406 again, been working good, but I only have one can left, may try usc cabosil if I have to order more filler.

so I filleted a few hours, then stopped to leave enough sun heat time left to cure before the sun went down.

And a little update on the house build, as you can see, im almost done with the white pvc trim, portico, decks, basement, ect...it was a lot of work for a 2 man team, but we're getting there.....I should be all done in a few months, (hopefully ;))...then I get a break for a while til the next build...so hopefully I get a good push on the boat this coming spring.

that's all for now gang.....

Great progress on all aspects! Throw a couple of heat lamps in there and watch the temp rise and the work time last longer. I go back out the next morning and darn if that glass didn't set up real nice. Just don't get the lamps to close may make a bubble.

Looks like you are making progress on both fronts Mr Zool! Nice work on both!

Thanks Arch, the progress is lopsided right now, but I have to prioritize....when I started this, I had a ton of free time, not so much lately....but it looks like the tide is changing again ;)

Ditto to that. Plus I have an open tail end on my project. Cleaned up the heck out of the space today inside the boat I don't really have and kicked on the propane heater. Was up to 70 in @15 min. And yes I know the hull has to be warm also to accept the new glass. But today was prep for Mr Snow and who knows maybe I'll still be able to stick down some glass. Crazy ...just updated my browser loool It has spall check now.
