Most likely one of many unfortunately. Hopefully this level of corrosion is limited to small section of the hull skin. That needs a full patch

Oh I started pulling the foam on the port side. I was real hopeful that it wouldn’t be as bad but it seems to be worse. Most likely one of many unfortunately. Hopefully this level of corrosion is limited to small section of the hull skin.
license plates will be too flimsy and most are stamped with a pattern; you want the patch to have intimate contact with the hull...separated only by a thin film of sealant (like 5200). street signs would probably work since they're usually heavy-gauge aluminum. Can I use license plates and street signs for making patches?
It looks like it has 2 braces on the ends of the stringers. That's how I put mine together. More room for bilge pumpsIs it odd my boat does not have knee braces or a knee brace?
The braces are low on each side of the main stringers. The transom on my 82 model was 3 pieces. I replaced my transom this summer. I used 10-32 truss head screws, locknuts to replace the rivets I drilled out to remove the splash well.Is it odd my boat does not have knee braces or a knee brace?
There’s a troll on a Facebook group that is telling everyone to pour that foam back in their whole boat and under the tank. The corrosion I found is sad because it seems avoidable by Starcraft. Putting some paint and or plastic down would of prevented a lot of it.Corrosion, yeah the difference between pour in foam and the old EPS they used prior to. My 79 SS had zero corrosion inside the hull even after being used in the Great Salt Lake, 9 times more saline than the ocean.
I see guys wanting to put that pour in foam in their old tin and just shake my head, there's no talking them out of it mainly because they have a fear of sinking the boat without it.
Could I get some pictures of your work? The braces are low on each side of the main stringers. The transom on my 82 model was 3 pieces. I replaced my transom this summer. I used 10-32 truss head screws, locknuts to replace the rivets I drilled out to remove the splash well.
Did someone do a restore before? See the sharpe lines lining up the rivet placements.

The stringers are usually attached to the tops of the ribs. I always remove them as the rivets are generally loose and need some attention anyhow.Does anyone have a trick to getting to corrosion where the hull skin and stringers meet? I feel like a dreamer is the only way
