Yeah! This is a great update. I'm glad to see some progress here.
Big Sky is on our list of places to get to too.
I just ordered a custom gator step piece for the back of my boat. I'll update my thread when I get it installed. I should also have some pics of my fly-hi with board rack (got my bimini modified at the end of last season) and I'll have my barefoot boom operational too.
I'm ready for lake season!! Keep trucking on this boat. You're going to love it.
Nice Tim! Big Sky was really an impressive mountain, although the visibility and wind kept us from skiing off the tram, we spent a lot of our time on Challenger 3, Headwaters 2, and Lone Tree 4. All great steep terrain.
Nice updates to the boat! those sound like they should be very useful once that summer sun comes back out!
Thanks for everyone's support, although I've been slow and inconsistent, you all have kept me focused on getting it done!
Damn! thats frustrating! Well thanks for offering it up.
Got out into the garage last night and dug up all of the foam in deck holes. the plugs that I drilled out fit nicely back in there. but I seem to have misplaced one.. Not too big of a deal but I laughed at myself when I came up one short.
Also got my back seat mounted with some pop clips. Since Im doing "custom seats" from standard bench sections ive had to improvise. At this point. I feel like just building custom seats would have been a better call. but oh well. The admiral said she didnt want to sew seats... so more work for me lol
Hey all!
Short update, but an update none the less. Ill post some pics tonight or tomorrow.
got the rear seat backs mounted with these little pop clips, should make for easy removal if needed. Unfortunately there is a small gap, as the seat is flat across and the boat stern has a slight curve. May put a piece of ply across to cover the gap.
Got the deck foam holes cut out and the plugs fitted. Realized I was out of CSM, went and got a few yards for the seat bases and floor holes.
Pulled the rub rails out from under the boat and used a wire brush to clean the remaining silicone and paint off of them. Painted with an automotive patch can, hopefully itll hold up.
ordered the 1" Taco rub rail insert, it came in and is looking quite stiff. Hopefully it will get more flexible after I warm it up.
