Re: 1987 16 ss

Last weekend Darcy made the trek out here with the Naked Lady to do some fishing and boating, WOW what a great time. She runs awsome, 5500 rpm 40mph with the two of us in the boat, very solid and very quiet ride. We are waiting for DARCY to forward the picture so I can post them for all to see. She is definatly a head turner, boats would go out of there way to come by for a look. We were anchored fishing and a big $50g LUND all decked out, trolled right up to us and asked what dealer was selling new Starcrafts like her, we got a real good chuckle out of that. As soon as I get the photos I will post them.

Wow Glen. The Naked Lady looks fantastic on the water. I can see why some folks would think she is new. Great work man!

Glen the pics are amazing, your Bud and family should have tons of fun with that glitzzy gal. Coupled with that equally amazing Yamaha PowerPac she's a beautiful sight on the water

Hey Dozer -

I am tossing around paint ideas and thoughts on tackling mine this winter (It could go more seasons without but what they hell else is there to do in the winter up here!). How is the shined aluminum holding up? Do you need to or should Darcy be polishing it, or other? How frequent?

Im "thinking" of taking your idea on the boat and doing something similar (bare aluminum) with my boat. Id likely keep the yellow. HOWEVER, if it is a REAL pain to maintain or is blemishing / does blemish easily I may choose another router (I got 4 ideas Im working through). I LOVE the look of it, absolutely AMAZING but I dont think, with three kids, etc Id be able to keep it looking good if it is lot of work to maintain...ya know?

Thanks for the feedback!

Hey Chuck, the shine is holding up pretty good, it does require more maintainence, than Shark hide, but looks great. Looking forward to seeing yours take shape.

Darcy and his family came out to join us at the lake for 5 days and that just added to the great times we had, here are a few more picks of the Naked lady.

This was yesterday morning at 7:15, not a breath of wind and the lake was like glass, as they say picture perfect.
