Just picked up a boat with this Yammy on it, seems to run good. My question, lower unit has been welded and I want to install a better lower unit in it. I have worked on plenty of mercs and Johnson/Evinrudes, my question is when pulling lower unit does it have to be in gear or neutral? Also any input on the outbound in general would be awesome. Everything I have read says they are good reliable outboards. Thank you for any input
