not sure why they put the console in the front but the new console i got for it will be going slightly forward in a normal position. the 55 hp ill tinker with one day he said it runs but the boat was originally rated for a 135 so i figured a 150 wouldnt hurt it after i replaced and reinforced transom

So I guess your New Years resolution wasn't to not pull home any new projects .. LOL!!! Much better set up for a Husky boater .. 🙄
Nice V shape should handle any chop the ditch produces .
Just think of all the crab pots you can stack in there if you leave the CC up in the bow ...

you know better than to trust CL ads.....

that was a bow-runner that was stripped and converted. you can see where the teak steps went in the gunwales.

The controls / console up front just gives a commercial operator more room for fishing.-----Storage of lobster traps or crab pots.----I know of locals that want tillers on big motors ( no console at all ) so they have more room for fish boxes.

The Johnson motor is similar to the 78’ 85hp motor on my 16’ Capri. I eventually changed it out for an 87’ 90hp Johnson. I had to work on both motors to get them running, and keep them running. Both were great running motors, and are both currently running.

Page 21 boat has hp rated at 90 ...
that's actually smaller boat then mine and mine was a 178 xl that boat was only 15 ft long mine is 16.6 its kind of strange research I've done very few outboards sold I guess i/0 was still holding the market then funny how it rates for 140 hp for i/0 135 for outboard, yet weight wise the i/0 is almost 200 lbs. more then this 150, i guess they just weren't trusting when it came to their transom lol i can see why after looking it over , not even sure stringers are tied into transom.....
