?what?
1: How much grinding do you have to do to? On what?
2: Materials may be a challenge in the Bahamas. Read thru the threads here
@ Don's helpful how to's. Read them again, it's not a small thing you are embarking on. Being in the Bahamas also presents a much larger environment for operating you're rebuilt boat, and a much greater change of encountering a serious situation out on the water. Everyone should be extremely diligent in how they put their boat back together, but the ocean & any big water presents much greater peril then my local reservoir. Read thru WoodOnGlass' stringer, deck & transom posts:
"Fabricating Decks, Stringers, and Transoms"
Read thru some threads in the resto section. There is LOTS of valuable information available to you already. Many choose to read & follow some rebuilds before they start major demo on a project so that they have some idea & direction on how to proceed in general.
As your 1st post had demo pix & no text, or questions, I'm not sure what the start of your last post I quoted is about, but my suggestions in #2 are a great place to start. In fact, Trooper's thread will have lots of helpful info too. Read his thread.
If you have questions, post them.... Many of the guys whose help you'll likely need, do still work for a living, and many also won't feel the least bit inclined to help if this very long journey starts w/ an attitude.
There are a bunch of guys willing to help, give them a chance, there's only about 28000 threads just in the resto section, nearly 4 million posts total, and more then 370000 members. That's a lot of resources already available to you.
Now for the pix in post #5 you made, they pix didn't attach. Don's how to's have a how to post pix thread, while your going thru the rest, you might start w/ it.
How much access do you have to exterior grade (waterproof glue) or marine, auraco, okoume plywood in 1/2" or 3/4" thicknesses, and polyester resin, hardener, Chopped Strand Mat (CSM), 1708 Biax fiberglass cloth & acetone?
Welcome to iboats, patience in all things & post it w/ pix & they will come
