Some of the curves towards the bow are rather compound...I kept a pretty good profile on the templates when I measured it all up, but there are some gaps that are nearly three quarters of an inch in some places and an eighth of an inch in others. It's not noticeable at all. After I tuck the carpet around those edges and apply some carpet mastic it will look perfect.
I didn't need to coat the inside of the hull because the original coding is still completely intact. The PO kept the boat under an awning. I did find some mushrooms growing on the carpet when I tore the floor out, but other than that the boat is rather pristine. It's a heavy-duty coating something like a rhino lining. I'm thinking some type of textured epoxy. Whatever came from the factory. It's very thick and very durable.

More progress today on the Lund...

Casting deck fully carpeted...

One of the boards bucked up on me after I had it fully carpeted....It's not terrible, so I'll leave it like it is for now until I can figure out how I'm going to repair it...
By the way....I need more clamps. Don't I...?

Got the bench and accent panels carpeted today....It is really coming together nicely!!!

Tomorrow I should have it all complete....
I still need to carpet the hinged storage boxes as well as the battery box lid. I sent a number of 12-14 gauge wire strands in various areas to and from the battery connections aft and in the storage box mid-section of the boat....I ran it all through the drain channel, but I forgot to take pictures before laying the ply and carpeting. It will be the wiring for accessory's(fish finder, navigation light's) as well as a bow mounted trolling motor.
There's still a lot of work to be done...I have the Johnson 35HP re-wired, but I need to heat proof much of the wiring job I did. The motor run's....It's a little rough, so I purchased a carb re-build kit from Sierra. I'll put some new mix gas in her and change the plug's.....I also have to change the lower unit gear oil and re-pack the trailer bearing's...

This has been such a fun project!!!!

FGuy....Carpet looks Great! Love the clamps! You mentioned one of the boards bucket up after carpeting, what do you mean by that? Did one of your screws pull through or something? Or did you mean that the carpet came loose?

Coming along nicely!

Yes.... I must have only caught the edge of one of the ribs when I screwed the board down and it bucked up. Not really certain how to fix it without pulling all the carpet up.
