Thanks for the info on the add on Rob, unfortunately i can't figure out how to get it working. I will have to find sometime to replace all the lost pics.
Thanks for the kind words Ron. I'm really happy with how the casting deck and splash well turned out and it really makes the back so much more usable.

If you have Google Chrome installed the add on should just work once installed. So far so good for my pics being replaced using MS Onedrive.

You can add the pics using the advanced editor and the pics will be added like 3rd party hosting does it.

Candutch,
Can you add another image of your kicker motor and mount. Installing the mount is my next project and want to see how yours is set up.
Looking good,
Bob

Thanks Rob, I added the extension. Now do the pics show for everyone or just me?

One more Irv.

Let me know if you need anymore close up. The only problem I see you may have is that my transom has been modified giving me way more room to mount the bracket above the water line. Your is original so you would have to move the bracket to the outside more. If my kicker had a long leg I wouldn't have even needed the bracket and could have mounted it on the transom.

Nice work Candutch! On the gunnels, did you glue down the vinyl over or under the rivets? I understand the trim pieces will go over, but I'm referring to the actual blinds that hold the gunnels to the hull and affix the side plates. Any fitment issues with the trim pieces and added layer?

Thanks MN. The vinyl is glued over the rivets. Once the vinyl was on I trimmed it at an angle on the edge of the boat kind of giving it a bit of a taper. The trim was tight going on but it still fit fine.

Perfect! I think that Dura deck is a bit thicker than the Nautolux I'm using as well. I have the gunnels removed and will be replacing with all new rivets. Just didn't know if I should dry to lay down the vinyl before or after installing.

Just Chrome users or Firefox with the add on installed. I used it so I could see which pics I needed to add back into my threads using Onedrive to host. Not sure how long the fix will work, maybe forever, maybe not?

Dura deck is what I used on the gunnels and sides.

Oh I understand now. I can see it on my home computer but only that computer as it has the extension. I guess I will still have to re post all the pics. Bummer. Thanks Rob.

Hello Candutch,

I am new here, and have been reading through your build over the last two months. Excellent finished product BTW. I hope my boat will look half as good as that when I am done with her.

I recently purchased a 1974 Starcraft SS16, also in need of TLC. I was looking forward to using your post as a reference when I start the restoration of my boat. Unfortunately Photo Bucket has stripped most of the photos from your blog, as well as others. Really poor timing on their part.

One of the things I was keen on seeing was how you dealt with the knee brace on the transom. The original owner of my boat let the transom go to far, and both the splash well and the knee brace on the bottom are cracked. Naturally I want to fix those issues properly.

Is there any way you could re-post the images of the knee brace?

Cheers

FIGMO
FIGMO sorry I nevre replied, missed your post somehow. I used the Chrome extension fix posted by Watermann here and the pics now show in my browser now. Let me know if it works for you and you can see how I fixed the knee brace if you still need to. I did it pretty much the same as others on here though so if you have been looking I'm sure you have found it. If you don't see the pics and still need them let me know and I will PM them to you, not sure when I will have time to replace all of the pictures from PB.

Thanks Rob, I've now done all I can do. Any pics missing were on my old phone that crapped out. When you go back through the pics you realize just how few actually get posted of the hundreds that were taken.
