No Title

Well just over 2 years and finally SPLASH! It all went fairly well to. A few small problems, the fuel gauge isn't registering anything and the tach is at 500 rpm when not running so I have to figure that out.
Like most I was so excited I didn't get any good pics on the water but I did shoot a video of the hole shot I will post tomorrow.
A huge thanks to everyone here. Your help and inspiration was what made this resto possible. I owe you all big, well maybe just a drink as I cant afford big.😆
Without further adieu here are the pics.

Congrats Candutch. Really nice and thorough build. Allowing us all to follow along is, for most of us, thanks enough. As for the rest, you might be buying a few drinks. Lol

Thanks fellas, I appreciate you stopping in with your congratulations.
Before anyone asks I managed to get 37.8 mph at 5800 rpm with a 19 pitch prop, 3 adults in the boat, gear, kicker and it's fuel tank.

Not too shabby for speed with that load out.

So ahem, how's that video coming along anyway?

Very nice looking forward to the to the video, we got 42 at wot with only 2 people in the boat, I'm thinking you would do the same with only 2 people as well.

Thanks ab, she did get up pretty quuck but I don't have a lot to compare it to since I haven't had anything over an 8hp in 15 years.

Thanks Rob. I did have a bit of an issue where it was hard starting after I shut down in the middle of the lake. It acted like it was flooded and smoked like crazy when it did finally fire up. It ran great after that but I never did try to shut it down and hot start again. I was kind of surprised because all afternoon during the de carb process it fired up as soon as that key was turned.

Great job. I had the same non starting issue with my 1985 today on the water. I waited a few minutes, lifted the throttle, and it started.
