Hey everyone
I live in Hilton Head SC and I recently was given a 1979 14' Mckee Craft with a Marniner 60 outboard on it. This is my first boat and its all new to me. Myself and a buddy of mine got the motor to crank and it seems to run pretty good for its age. I am thinking of doing a restoration on the boat and need some guideance. The hull seems to be really solid and in good shape. Looks like just some minor glass work will be needed (couple small dings on it). I saw some photos of a guy in NC who just restored a boat just like mine and it turned out awesome, so this is why I have the itch to do it. Can anyone recommend the steps needed to get going or some good sources of info I can look up with regards to patch work, priming painting etc etc. I also want to replace the original Mckee Craft emblems on the boat, any sources as to where I may find them? I got on Mckee Craft web site and there is nothing there. I will post some pictures of the boat as it is now.
