Okay... starting to pull some things together for the restoration. Does nautolex (light color) get hot? Mississippi sun + aluminum + carpet = HOT deck. Any suggestions on a "coolish" (temp) material? Also rub rail. There's a whole piece of the rail (about three feet) broken off the starboard side from the stern up. Any ideas on replacement? Thanks to all!!!
I've used the storm grey Nautolex on two different boats and will be using it again on my current build. I do not feel it gets too hot. I've had thoughts about using the black at times, but shy away from it due to the heat concerns. Stick with a light color and I think you'll be fine.

We used Sharkey Grey and love it. I would use it again as well.

Baby steps (I feel like a toddler next to what y'all are doing lol) but winter's coming here soon and I'll be able to start drilling, filling, sanding, and painting!!! The General surprised me with an early Christmas present and gave me a much needed bimini. We still have a month or two of good water weather and the shade is a blessing. We're going to wait until we're out this weekend and adjust accordingly.
