Slowly knocking out some of the smalls. Splashwell, dash panels, side panels, rub rail, end caps, nose piece, transom cap, etc.

Looking real nice hunter. I'm liking the plastic grommets for passing your wiring through the panel supports. I've been thinking of doing the same thing. What speakers and receiver did you go with for your sound system?

I just like to ask because it's hard to find honest reviews for stereo equipment. It's hard to find an ad that will say this stereo is "nothing fancy" but keeps you entertained, which I think is sad because that's what most people usually want out of a boat stereo.

Absolutely. Fancy enough for anything I will ever need from it. I looked at the Fusion units as well, but couldn't rationalize the extra coin for my intended purposes.

Success! Cutting the front casting deck was a task I wasn't exactly looking forward to. I tend to have paralysis by analysis and without an old deck to use as a template, I pondered over how to do it most effectively. I ended up using the joggle stick method and found it to be rather brilliant. Aside from a sore back, it worked out perfectly. I still have some fitting to do for the void left at the bow, backers to add for the pedestal mount, hatches to cut in, and seal and vinyl...not to mention the aluminum support structure to build, but getting this deck piece cut and fit was a big hurdle for me.

Now, to figure out the best tactics for chasing turkeys in the snow...opening day on Weds here in MN and another storm in the forecast!

Nicely done! Brings me back to the day I was taking on that particular task without a template to copy from....after getting the first template cut, I kept having to bevel the underside edges of the curve[bow] with a set of calipers till it "dropped right in"

Looks great! Hey that method works pretty good, beats going in and out of the boat 50 times.

One bit of advice, just make sure there's some room between the hull and deck so when you walk it doesn't rub or it'll have a squeak that'll make you nuts.

Looking awesome MNhunter1 . I know I felt the same way. It feels good knowing the bulk of the work is done. hatches, supports and vinyl will be light work:lol: feels even better when you get to use it the first time. I'm loving the storage it created.

Good luck on those turkeys. It was spitting snow here this morning. Idk if I'll get out gobbler hunting or not. Still got a bit. Perfect weather for trout and walleye

Figure I’m probably well overdue with an update. Been a busy spring with the kids and family, but I’ve been tinkering away as time allows. I have to admit, there’s been a few nights where I’ve put the boat work aside and just decided to catch up on some rest. Nonetheless, I think I’m at the point where all that’s left is the electrical, rigging, and decals/registration. I just put the finishing touches on the casting deck tonight and I’m happy with how it all turned out. Should make for some good fishing in the near future.
