on second thought , I don't think they are the same , color is close but the black thing sticking out ot the stern is on the opposite side and the bottom of the hull is not painted on this one.

Found it, the owner of the one in the tricities contacted me. I will be taking a look at it maybe this weekend and hopefully bring it home if it is as it is stated.

Found the ad in Helena. Nice looking but a little rich for my blood @ $8000.

Well on my boat, still dealing with a draw on the battery system. If I let it sit a week without disconnecting the batteries it will draw both batteries down enough to not we able turn over the engine.

Got the bilge cleaned up some. Dawn dish soap and a day on the river.

Still working of the "Black goo" in the fuel tanks. Think I will use a fuel transfer pump, an large farm filter sediment style and just circulate the fuel in the tanks should remove a good part of it. Will do it for both tanks.

Removing of the old, nonfictional after market electronics, Old VHF radio, Depth gauge, etc. Will be replacing them as time and money allows.

The guy with the second boat is real proud of that one at 8,000 , not much of a deal there that's for sure. When I saw the same colors I had just thought that it might be the same boat and the cheaper one a spoof but not the case.
Good news about the 1st one though huh, sounds good and I hope it works out for you. With two running boats you should be good to go as far as restoration of one.
About the bad fuel , I used an electric fuel pump that I had taken off my garden tractor and ran it through in line filters that were clear but I had a bunch that I had bought cheap years ago . Not so sure trying to salvage the old gas would be a good idea . If you have a lot of varnish in the tanks you might look around for an additive to melt and remove it , not sure if a good one exists but that would be a good question for the forum .
Would be a good idea to keep a couple of spare filters in the boat at all times when your on the water, crap in the tank always seems to show up at an inopportune time.

OOps , forgot about the battery drain . I am NOT experienced in electrical problems and had or may still have the same problem with my SS 201 v so I can't really help you there. there is however a lot of people on this site that can really help you out with that kind of stuff , just post the question in electrical problems and I'm sure you will get a response.

Hey KB7 , just curious as to whether or not you were able to go look at the the boat ? Been thinking about it now and then so thought I'd drop you a line.
Any pics on the work done on the one you already have ?

Work is continuing. The galley and the table are going to be replaced. I am going with blue pine and sealed heavy. Replacing the alcohol cook top with a propane cook top.

Today, I rebuilt the back 1/4 of the engine cover that was made out of particle board that was unsealed (Read lots of cleanup). I have ran it a few times on the river. Unfortunately or fortunately work has been busy (read 75 hours last week) so not alot of time to do work on the boat. In talking to my dad, he suggests, due to the lack of parts for the jet drive, and the 455 issues that are known with that engine, he suggests planning a heart transplant (engine and jet drive).

While looking at other boats I cant find a boat similar to this. Aluminum hull, you can cook and sleep on that has a port-a-potty. When you Google, Aluminum boats, they are all what I call day runners, not to cuddy cabin, which is sad. I wish I had the money to build boats like this. It is a lost market. So while it works great still, I need to have my eye on a replacement pump and engine.

Once the blue pine wood is installed, I will defiantly up load pics. . mostly I have been fixing small stuff so we can enjoy it right now.

As for contacting the person on the other boat, I got a response with a promise of more pictures, and no response since then. I have left a couple voice mails and text messages. So I guess I missed it.

Got it. Sent him a text. Hoping for a reply. I would go pick it up, that way I could pull the high performance impellers from my jet to have another set made. I would like to have a set or two on the shelf so if a oops happens I have a set ready to go.
Hi, older thread but curious to know if you were able to find parts for your jet? I have 1980 starcraft Holiday 18 with 350 chev and the same eliminater jet drive.
