dumb question # 382 i think, did any of you guys buff after you painted final coat? did you wet sand then buff, just buff, or wait and put a coat of wax on later? mine is not baby butt smooth but looks real good and nice and shiney. just looking for some more input from you all, as lots of great looking projects on here and trying to keep up to you all standards. thanks

I didn't do any of that buffing or sanding. I just waited 2 months and put a coat of wax on.

once again guys thanks, that is what i was hoping you did ( just wax and not sand and buff, as your work is deffinetly good enough for me ) as they say " it aint a piano"
on another note i listed some parts in the starcraft parts forumn that i am not in need of. if anybody sees something you need or can use shoot me a p.m.

It starts with a case of beer and 6 big friends. LOL

Get a couple of buddies to help pick the hull up, walk it into the grass and roll it upright in the grass. Then lift it up and place it on the trailer. Then break out the beer.

The stripes look good!

Paint and pinstripping look Awesome Cc. I use some old foam couch cushions to roll the hull on.

Paint looks real good to me CC!

Enough guys to do the job without struggling, min of 3 and a couple sleeping bags or comforters as pads.

thanks all, thinking a box of beer , 6 guys, and a coouple mattresses out of the hunting shack. my be a little overkill but could also wrap the sides in shrink wrap for a little more protection. will be 3 weeks since painted before i get around to flipping her, and the smell is about gone. you all think that is a long enough cure?

Yeah, you're golden. Perfect time to make sure the trailer is all ready to accept the freshly painted hull.

Three weeks after painting with hardener - You're good to go, CC. Echoing WM - Good time to knock off the trailer and practice 12 oz. curls prior to the hull flip. :D

The paint job looks real good. She's going to look sharp on that trailer. I love the pin stripes. On the boat, and the trailer.
