With the temps getting into the 30's here tomorrow, I bit the bullet and lowered the cap back on temporarily and moved it into the warmer building, set it on blocks and ill raise the cap back up to continue on in comfort.

The trailer is high so i had to stack it high to remove it, ill bring it down a block or two to work on it.

Zool I built a cradle on casters for Miss Morgan when I did her. It was really low, so easy to get in and out of and nice to roll out of the shop when I needed to. Not sure if that is an option for you or even a need, just thought I would mention it.

That is a good looking boat you got there.

Thanks Chevy, Im becoming a fan of the classic ski and performance boats, in fact, im thinking of starting a collection of the interesting ones, they go real cheap when needing restructuring..and theyre super easy to redo...My craigslist saved links are growing by the day..its almost scary :)

Kinda shift my passion for rusty classic cars to crusty classic boats.....

So far ive gotten by without a cradle, and the top fit right back on....i lowered it to just over a foot above ground now and raised the cap back off....if I had a big concrete area, a rolling cradle would be great tho....

I like Miss Morgan without the windsheild....keeps things more interesting and sort of adds to the experience......noting like a little wind and or water in your face!

I was debating the same about adding a low profile wind shield to the Borum ..
Your CM would look good either way I would think ..It is a sleek looking craft !

I have your boat's kissin cousin. Baja 15 SS. Alas every time I try to post a pic here it tells me the files are "corrupted". Which I know they aren't cuz they work everywhere else. (Really pisses me off.)

But I digress.

Following.

Speaking of Carlsons. You should come to the Red Wing, MN meet in August. 65 boats this year. Art's son John, and grandson Steven, and their partner John Matise hauled their new 24' version of Art's "flying wedge" all the way from California!? I drove it. It was friggin awesome.

Tried smaller pics. Still no go.

Not for sale ... Believe the orig Cmate windshields were two piece. With a bar/upright in the center?

Windshield schminshield. They ain't all they're cracked up to be ...

Sure they keep most'a the big bugs and birds outa your face, but they slow ya down 1 mph or so.
