Hi I have a 68 surftamer open bow tri haul. I need to replace the strip at the front of the seam but there's no way anyone under 50 lbs is gonna reach it. Can anyone help me out? Do I have to split whole boat to get at it?17287843686465903765810108731855.jpg

Welcome
Only way I know of is to remove the rub rail

Remove rubber strip, drill out rivets then it will come loose.
There are other rivets under the rail that hold the 2 pieces together.

Will need a rivet gun (manual or air) to put back together

No rivets. Has screws that go the 2 layers and wood straps on the inside. Guess I may be able to drill new holes and try rivets

Could use stainless toggle bolts but they are costly
