Ayuh,... Generally speakin',... The Beams are called Stringers, 'n the Ribs are called Bulkheads...
Actually, Ribs, as in wooden boats don't usually apply to fiberglass...

It appears you have a 2x4 or 2, lain on it's side as a Stringer, right up the middle,..??

The bulkheads, or cross-ties appear to be broken,...
The wood strips/ stringers on the outside, are they furing strips,..??

Re: 1968 chrysler boat floor

Chrysler used structural foam instead of a lot of wood.
The foam I removed from mine was that same foam.

You can either go back with injection foam or gut everything out,
grind the glass and put wood back with glass cloth. The wood should be completely glassed to seal it, not just glazed with resin.

Re: Chrysler resoration

Spend some time reading all of the restoration threads. When you have photos ready 640 x 480 sized I want you to send me a PM and I will re-open this post up. So it is locked until you are ready to post the photos.

You stated in this original thread that the boat is winterized. Either you are working on it or you are not. DO NOT make up any drama to keep people busy. When you get further along let me know so for now this will remain locked until you are ready to show progress.

The restoration section is the most serious since people spend hundreds to thousands of dollars doing the repairs.
