I purchased a 1966 Starcraft 18ft Holiday 110hp i/o and am considering converting it to an open bow for a fishing platform with no formal front seats except for a pedestal. I have looked thru the forum and can't seem to find anyone who has done this. Can someone point me in the right direction? I have a 1975 18ft SS OB open bow as a reference for how to build some of it...
My Holiday has the two pane front window, so I would need to find a window with the walk thru window opening. I am thinking about using a 1969 18 holiday 120 i/o as a parts boat for this effort. It has the walk thru window and the separate consoles with the step up to the window. The hull is really clean on the 1966 that is why I would like to stay with that boat. They do have different v-hulls shape from what I can tell, the 1966 holiday has a deeper bow than the 1969 holiday, the rest of the hull looks very similar.
