Nice job with the JB weld is JB weld flexible enough not to crack when spread in that long of a section?I need to do the same thing just curious if you can flex the alumium still?

The aluminum still seems to be as flexible as it was.I plan on sanding it down some and fill in anything that is not flat.

Another fun filled evening of workin on the boat. I got everything sealed up nice with 4200. and primed up the the rest of the transom.

and got the floor cut and dry fit.

Wow, 65SC...the restoration is coming along great. The transom turned out awesome, looking forward to your finish!!

Got the inside all scrubbed up on sat. afternoon. And today I got the glu-vit on all the rivets and seams.

She all primed up and ready for some paint. I used a coat of self-etching primer then a coat of sandable primer.

65SC - once the paint starts flying it's all downhill. :D

EDIT - Did the Durafix rods work for ya?

They did not work for me, The transom skin is to thin. before i could get it hot enough i could see it start to warp the aluminium. I ended up just using a metal filler, worked out o.k.
