It appears to be scrap now.----Just 12 cents / lb-----Not what you want to hear but it is " world class " advice from people who know the facts.

You could part it out on ebay and make several hundred dollars.
Notable parts are the carburetor, starter rope recoil assembly, lower unit, tiller arm, propeller, etc........

motor looks like you ran it without any cooling water and without the proper fuel/oil ratio

its your motor. fix it or scrap it is up to you.

was the first thing you did on this new to you motor install a new raw water pump?

what are all the "new" parts that you installed?

Took it to a marine mechanic, a car mechanic, and a small engine repair guy.
Guess they are all wrong

you still did not list what you all replaced.

based on the photo evidence, you didnt replace the raw water pump.

Time to close out this sad saga.----This motor should R.I.P.
You should excuse yourself from this thread; you still haven't answered the circlip question about the gears on the 25 horse i asked about.

Folks have repeatedly asked what " everything replaced " meant and what has been your answer ?----Good luck with your motor endeavors.

Everything on here is new, everything.
It's running way to hot, and i have to periodically pump the ball.
Any recommendations?
its been cooked , possibly leaned out from the looks of the melted alloy on the cylinder bores.
2 strokes don't like heat , running with a lean mixture makes heat , heat causes seizing , seizing causes melted alloy on the bores .

motor is toast !.

goes up the water tube properly installed into the base of the PH then gets circulated mostly OUT the rear end and partially via the thermostat when things get hot. Some water goes down the exhaust housing to cool things

put the GC in a bucket with water above the wp impeller spin the drive shaft with a drill see if the water pump pumps water .

try back flushing water from the rear end with a hose

I have the head off and as i spin it with a drill it only comes out at the botttom of the lower cylinder. Is there only one fresh water feed to the jackets?
