1963 40 hp Bigtwin starting procedures - Question???

Just a quick question. How many turn out is the low speed jet? If I close the jet gently all the way, what is the recommended setting when cold starting?

Well this is why I am asking. My book states that 7/8 turn out is recommended. While this forum recommends something different. Who should be more trustworthy?

1 1/2 turns out for the low speed
3/4 turn out for the high speed (if it has one)
