Every screw has been placed in on an angle in the bottom ..

Either it was done that way for a reason or the guy that installed my boat bottom was the shortest guy on the crew ! LOL !!!

Yeah It could be but they would only need to do one or two on the row . All of them seems a bit overkill ..It wouldn’t work like that on the sides . The plugs probably would not seat very well . The bottom was filled with filler so I guess it didn’t matter ..

Sam,
Do those seams get caulked or wet expansion does the trick all by itself?

Still studying the assembly but from what I have gathered the board will be tight with 5200 ooze out of the seam . I’m making a trip down south tomorrow to drop the motor off to the guy that’s gunna handle the drivetrain stuff . And I should get some good info from that visit to Old Time boat company in Tavares…

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend that was provided by the many that payed the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms !
Got some dogs and such cooking for lunch 😉..
The little tool on the drill was the best 5 bucks ever spent for drilling out filler .. the center point retracts so you don’t screw up the head of the screws .. That and big thanks to Buck for loaning me his infrared paint/ varnish stripper …
Big time savor there ! Thanks Buck !

Flashback , all the screws are original silicon bronze and have held up really well . I’ll be going back in with new SB ..
This is one of those bucket list things that if ya don’t pull the trigger soon enough in life you might not get to it .. Unless ya got the cake to go buy one already restored ..
But what’s the fun in that right ?
I hope you can knock it off the list !
The water works wonders !
