Mike, I am a believer and there will be someone there to walk with her and guild her on her next journey. My mother was 86 and her spirit still visits me to this day.

On Thursday I too was almost a date.

I Will be trying this in the very near future and report back. If successful it should work similar to the 3M PPS gun for a WHOLE lot less money.

in the last two days i went from start to here on your thread WOG, first off i am very sorry for the loss of your mother, the loss of a parent is never easy. your project was recommended to me with my first post/thread. your determination, advice and beyond amazing result is the reason my (not so-free)boat is not in the scrapyard. its amazing. i have many old oilfield friends in your neck of the woods when i end up that way i would love meet up to shake your hand sir.

Well the topic came up again today on fixing minor scratches and abrasions in your gelcoat. I'm posting this link to the PreVal paint system. It IS the quick, easy and inexpensive way to spray gelcoat for a professional finish. I've used it and highly recommend it. You DO have to thin the Gelcoat and therefore apply 5-6 coats to get the appropriate build up AND it's NOT intended for Large Areas. ( I wouldn't use it for more than 1 square ft) but if it's just a small area it's GREAT!!! I get mine At either Lowe's or Home Depot in the paint department.
