Yes I was born and raised in California so know the I-80 corridor very well. Also spent 8 years driving truck over the road. If for some reason I did get that one from California, I certainly would go the southern route. If I had got the one yesterday, I had made arrangements with a neighbor to go get it.

Yes I have seen the one in Meridian,ID. It could be doable if I had the truck.

Sucks about that boat. They are nice retro boats, and they actually made quite a few so they are not too hard to locate.. Not only is it just cut, it was done with an angle grinder.. IF, I were to do it that way ( and I wouldn't mind you ). I would cut the fiberglass with an oscillating saw as they can remove a blades width with practically surgical precision

yes hack and whack job for sure. I have resigned to just look around until the right one pops up.

Thanks Mark, Yes it does look similar to the Catalina. Nice Starflite OB on it as well. Too bad about the titles though. I don't have a flatbed to go get it with or be able to afford the usual rates to hire someone. Nice find though!
