18' 1981 starcraft SS

Let me try again can anyone tell were this brace/support would go on 1981starcraft ss 18' it was just bouncing in bilge:grumpy:

That panel is probably the fore (front) or aft (rear) bulkhead at the below deck gas tank or the bilge.

jbcurt00,thanks for the replay,I know last owner changed bow so I don't know if it goes up front or knot,and there is not below deck tank,the tank is under splash gard,and I don't know if it stock or not,but thanks for the help

Jbcurt00 thanks agin,Lwonder about the four big rivets sticking out the bulkhead or ware they pulled out of?

I've not seen a panel like that in my boats but it looks to me with the carpet glued to it that it might be an end panel for that ski locker.

good observation on the glue. maybe a ski locker?

Watermann!thank you that right to me I only wish I could see ware rivits pulled out of , I'll long mirror and very brute led light on I have a place to start.nice call on carpet glue.thank you so much.rikkie

I had a piece like that in my SS16. It was for a ski locker. I didn't reinstall since I didn't put a ski locker in.

Ski. locker. i cut mine up and used for bracing at the bow. Eliminated my locker

Yup. ski locker. i cut mine up and used for bracing elsewhere in the boat

Lifting boat

I am setting up blocking so I can lift my boat for painting bottom of hull, I am leveling motor on and lifting from tow hooks with engine hoist,it is a 18'starcrarfSS with a Johnson 120hp outboard anyone think I'll have problems

the factory transom hooks are designed to hold 3x the weight of the boat. you shouldn't have a problem

Only if the transom is solid.

If you notice, this has been moved into your rebuild thread in the Starcraft section where you should have asked in the first place.

On blocking

When I got trailer moved under bunk there was 8 or10 missing rivets in transom seem,ps I hope I am posting in the right topic

Can someone tell me if I have to remove the floor to replace bad rivets in transom seem?thanks
