You've done some fine work, she looks super nice! :thumb:

Motor work on older 2 strokes can be a real pain and expensive but essential. Are just the float bowls plastic? On my old motors and even my newer 1995 115 Merc, I replaced every fuel line, fuel pump kit, filters and carb cleaning with new gaskets finishing with a link and sync which includes checking the timing.

Hey Rikkie,

Boat looks great man! How did you mount up and brace your downriggers? The 16' SS I have appears to have had downriggers on it on a board across the connecting piece of the splashwell. I added cannon track to my port side gunnel and have a traxtech mount to put a rigger on it. But even with a piece of 1" wood backer inside the gunnel I really really don't like the way the way it looks.

Same thing with the board the PO has installed. Just doesn't seem stiff enough to me.

I will admit, I had to look at the picture with the Dewalt impact drill twice. At first I thought you had hot wired it to the wiring harness for some reason.

lol

I am getting old....

Don't know much about a Merc, other then a my 2 stroke kicker haven't worked on them per say. Now a 70's 70HP Evinrude, I can talk your ear off.
