The ice was out about 20' today - so time for a proper splash test. I threw the 6hp Chrysler on, and it ran fairly well. I have posted some questions on the Chrysler forum about performance. The horrible sound you hear on the video below is pieces of ice along the aluminum hull. Took it for about a 20 minute ride - boat and motor ran reasonably well.

I picked up a bunch of motors over the last few weeks. Amongst them was a 10hp Johnson. Some poor misguided soul painted it camo green, but compression was 75psi on both cylinders, and the motor was complete. I just finished rebuilding the stator plate, and posted another thread about a gas tank that needs some work, so with any luck, this weekend......

Good luck with the tank. Getting them clean can be hard.

Converting the motor to a single line is not that hard. Add an OEM pump or a Mikuni. I have converted several. Single line tanks are much easier to find.
