13 foot restoration project.

This boat been sitting in my back yard since 2002. Owner said do what I want with it. Figure i see if its restorable, stringers, solid with a rotten or soft wet spot here and there, replace whole stringer? any tips would be appreciated.

Looks like a complete gut job for sure . Do you have tittle for it ?

Pretty sure owner has title, he always bragged about the good ol days fishing in it, last licensed 2001. So I should take all stringers out and start there? Lifted front of the boat, did trailer cause the bow in bottom and middle stringers? Thanks again!

Check with the owner about paperwork and title before dropping 1 thin dime on it.

I agree about papers, but do you realize the investment required to restore her? I'd estimate a Minimum of $3,000 and 200 man hours. Lots of work. She appears to have been stripped of all Accessories and equipment. I'd really have to think hard before taking on this project.

Really....what WOG said.... much better to find a boat with some value and worth the labor....you can find great deals out there with much less work for less than what you would spend on this "gonner" ..... smart move....you kicked the tires and moved on !!!

2 shoulder surgeries, eye lens replacement, this and that .
Sorry you awesome gentlemen that pop on this thread once a week looking for updates. Boat still there, same condition. No worse..
Yea going to take time, gutting, and learning. After year off shoulder, bicep repair, pandemic keeping EVERYONE stuck at home,
That gem started looking like a perfect idea for a getaway.

Stringers, solid sound tapping until you get to rotted spot. Can't cut out and replace a 12 inch section of sringer.
Transom solid end to end top to bottom, read drilling and inspect shavings. Is there a common spot to drill, straight up through bottom? JK. But?
This had parts of warning sticker on front panel around instrument cutouts.

Drill along the bottom at least every foot. Stringers and transom can and often sound solid even when rotten. If its dry and looks like wood your good to go, mix up some PB and fill the holes. From the pictures it looks like a gut job as others have said.

Ok thanks. Yea full gut. Be searching threads as I go..
Going to be fun experience. Small boat anyway.

Those stickers are nav aid stickers. Tell ya about horn blasts, which channel markers, etc. My Bayliner had something similar in an all-in-one sticker on the dash.

Funny...the FourWinns I had and my current Chap don't.
