My new 2021 Ram 2500 Mega has one 12V outlet and 4 USB outlets but none of them turn OFF when the motor is shut down. I have a dash cam and now I have to unplug it. Don't think anyone here has the wiring diagrams for the truck, but maybe some ideas of how to get a more automatic on/off

The 110 outlet in mine was switched, so I tapped into the 12 volt side to power my radar detector. That was on a '14 though.

Thanks, had not thought about the 110 outlet, it's worth a look

Thanks, I'll try the USB 1 hour thing. I plugged it into the USB and it stayed ON, but didn't give it time. I know the 12V stays hot, because I forgot and the next day noticed its still ON

The USB for the 2021 doesn't work. Went out after truck has been OFF for maybe 3 hours, plugged USB in and camera powered up

Guess the 110 tap is next

On page 70 of your owners manual.

"The 12 Volt power outlets and 5 Volt (2.5 Amp) USB port (Charge Only) have a cap attached to the outlet indicating “12 V DC”, together with either a key symbol, battery symbol, or USB symbol.
A key symbol indicates that the key must be in the ON/RUN or ACC position for the outlet to provide power. The battery symbol indicates that the outlet is connected to the battery, and can provide power at all times.
"

So look for an outlet that has a "key" symbol in the cover.
Don't forget the ones on the rear side of the center console if you have them.

And check to see if you have a fuse in location F91, it is for the ignition fed outlets.

My 2016 Chevy Colorado had two fuse positions for the 12 volt power outlet.
One for constant power and the other for off when truck was off.
You just move the fuse to whichever one you want.
Maybe the Ram has that too?
Maybe check the fuse directory.
You might want to join a Ram forum for advice.

Oops, forgot a few things and couldn't edit post above.

No need to tap into the 12v side of the inverter outlet, just plug a usb cube into the outlet.

Or........On page 70 of your owners manual.

OR......... check to see if you have a fuse in location F91, it is for ignition fed outlets. If not, you should be able to pull the F 90 fuse and insert it into the F91 slot, which should make your outlets ignition key powered.

I had switched and unstitched usb and cigar lighter outlets on my last 2 Caravans. The usb in the glove box was hot all the time, while the others were switched.
It would seem strange not to have this in your truck.

Thanks roscoe, you the guy, worked like a charm. Also nice all the fuses are easy to get to. Bad part is the printing is dark on black, hard to read, and my guess may not last very long
