    I'd say not, I took the lower unit back off and the shift shaft in the lower unit won't change the gears, hardly any resistance on it.

    Thanks to all for your help ! I couldn't find the SN# plate on transom mount and mercury told me to look for freeze plug with a letter followed by 6 numbers. I found that and it had A127908 on it. I found a sea ray shop and they used that # and had an impeller in stock. I'll call them Monday...

    Ok, let me first say this is my first outboard to work on. I have experience with working on dirt bikes, atv's, etc. I found a searay shop that has the impeller but would have to order the housing if needed. So can you have a look of what I have and see if the housing looks to be replaced.
