Need Gasket Help

I have a Yamaha 40ESRW, 6H4S, 110822 (those are on the numbers) powering my Zodiac. I'm not sure the year...1996-1998 I believe. There is a housing to the right of the middle carb that has a valve labeled "open/closed". That housing began leaking gas last year. I removed the cover and found a...

    Zodiac Self Bailer Diaphragm replacement

I bought two new diaphragms for my MK II C. One had fallen out and the other was splitting. The new diaphragms have insert pegs (not sure what the center piece is called) slightly larger than the one I removed. I can't seem to get it started into the hole. Do I need to remove part of the floor...

    Self Baler Inserts?

Over the winter my MK 2 C lost one of the thin rubber flap inserts for the self baler. Right now I'm running with one plug in and one self baler because it just lets water right in. Does anyone now how I can source this part? Thanks, Dave

    Replacing Original Prop...Help

I'm going to replace the prop that was on my MKII C when I originally bought it. I'm running a 2 stroke 1996 Yamaha 40HP. If anyone has advice on prop brand and pitch, I'd appreciate it. I like to pull tubes and a skiier. Speed is not a necessity. Thanks.

Good North American Source for Parts?

Does anyone have a good source for accessories for my Zodiac Futura? I'm looking for things like optional seats, nav lights, foot pump, etc... I lucked out and found a pair of speed tubes for my MK II C at Mike's Marina in Michigan. I've scoured the net and can't seem to find a good source.

Post some of your boat pics!

You can tell season is winding down a bit in the north. The thread has become very quiet. I'd like to see some of the posters Zodiac rigs if they care to post pictures of them. Recently a German exchange student came to stay with us and we took her out on Georgian Bay (Lake Huron) and visited...

    New Speed Tubes

My MK II C is now 10 years old and the speed tubes are developing leakes at the seams. I found a cheap fix. I put Goop right on the seam/leak and in a day it's set up nicely. Since the tubes aren't seen, I'm not worried about asthetics. However, I'd like to purchase a new set of speed tubes for...

    Shoredocker Ramp and Zodiac

Has anyone used a ramp to keep their Zodiac out of the water? I was looking at the shoredocker 2000 to pull my MK II C up at night. I was wondering if anyone has tried this.

    Water Drain Nipple???

Today I was trolling with my 2002 6hp. I noticed there was no water coming out of the housing as usual. So I stopped the motor, removed the cover, and pulled of the rubber hose. I found a buch of small leaves, removed them, and the water began to flow as normal. I went to push the hose back on...

Hi all, I bought my "dream boat" last Saturday, 6/2/07. I bought a Zodiac Futura MK II C HD. It was a one owner boat used as a tender for a sailboat. She has a 40 HP 2-stroke Yamaha on her and she absolutely flies! I live on a small lake in Ontario and I plan on keeping her in the water. I...

1972 Merc 75 7.5HP. Fuel line and Throttle

I recently purchased this motor. All works well, but a couple things.

1. Where can you get fuel lines for these motors? I took one to a couple shops and all they could do was sell me bulky fittings. They work, but aren't as nice as the press fitting lines that originally came on...

1966 Fisherman...about to toss in the towell!

Last my "new" inherited 1966 Fisherman began to lose power. I rebuilt the carb (without a new float)and replaced the points and plugs which made it run great...temporarily. At the end of last season, it began losing power again. Yesterday I put it in and it ran the same. I've rebuilt the carb...

    1966 6hp Fisherman (continued...)

Thanks Rick and Bubba for steering me in the right direction. I was able to get the carb kit, condesors and points, and the impeller from NAPA in a day! Now I'm ready to start to work. I figure I'll have no problem with the points and condensors and the carb rebuild. My concern is with the...

Inherited 6 HP Evinrude Fisherman (some basics)?s...

My wife and I have the good fortune to have just bought some property on a beautiful lake in Ontario. I inherited an old Evinrude 6hp Fisherman that had been hanging for at least ten years in a basement. The serial# is 6602E-E04323. It would not run at first so I took the carb off and found the...
