    Boat Insurance

HELP! New to owning a boat, and need help with insurance. Plan to put it in a dry stack marina, and I am sure they want liability insurance. As to the boat, it is well used, so I pretty well don't care about insurance on the boat - it won't be financed. What about water towing insurance? What...

    1998 Johnson 175

Considering a boat with a 1998 175 Johnson. I read in 1998 both carb and fuel injected engines were made. Is it oil injected? I've read the carb model is super reliable, but thirsty, and the Ficht fuel injection can be problematic. I've asked seller if it is fuel injected, but I thought the oil...

    Enclosure and seat cushions

Looked at a 2000 21 ' Seaswirl Striper 2100 WA cuddy cabin. All looked pretty good, except outside cushions were beat and there was no enclosure. It has a hard top, which was nice. What price range would I be looking at for an enclosure, and suggestions on where to get it. (I'm near Dover, Del)...

    Think!

This is from the weekly Delaware Fishing Report: " THINK When I worked for IBM the company?s moto was ?Think.? I thought that was interesting for a company in the business of inventing products that did the thinking for you. So far no one has invented a boat that will think for the operator and...

    Wood under fiberglass.

I'm inexperienced, and here to learn - and on another thread, I learned that a lot of boats had wood transoms and stringers, and the wood rots over time. What boats don't have wood stringers/transoms? I think Boston Whalers have foam cores - are there others with foam or fiberglass cores??? Has...

    Opinions wanted on 1988 boat

Considering a 1988 GradyWhite 20' overnighter. All pics I got look good, except this one: Concerned about engine mounting below waterline - engine itself has only 150 hours... Have NOT seen it in person - what should I look for?

    oyster cracker/toadfish

Caught a bunch of these at Murderkill River entrance to Delaware Bay today - I thought they were sea Robins, but fellow angler called them oyster crackers. Slimy, no scales. Seems they can be eaten? Small drumstick-;like flesh on tail. I threw them back, but maybe try a big one? Supposedly you...

    car stumbles after getting gas

Wife's 2003 Chrysler T&C runs like a dog - "coughing" and sputtering for first few miles immediately after getting gas, them it runs fine again. I've put in Berryman's chemtool gas treatment - no difference. Runs fine all other times and the stumbling is only for a minute or two, but I can't...

    Live Well Lack

Looking at a 2002 Parker 2120, and was surprised there is no live well. I have a big, old Igloo cooler, and I was thinking of using that, I bucket or 2 of seawater thrown in, and an aquarium bubbler run thru an inverter - thoughts? Alternatives? As a kid, we used to run a string thru the mouth...

    Yamaha 2002 150 HP 2-stroke life expectancy

Looking at a 2002 150 HP Yamaha 2-stroke w/488 hours - I think that means it has lots of life left - but got me to wondering what expected max hours would be? Thoughts? Other than plugs, what would repair items be? It has oil and fuel injection.

Ocean City, Md boat show Feb 13-15

Had approx 300 boats - I was surprised at how few appealed to me, but the few that did I was ready to trade at least one kidney for! Went Friday, only an hour drive, it wasn't crowded and only cost $10, so was easily worth it to me.

    30 year old TV

As the title says, I find myself with a working 19" color TV made by Panasonic in July, 1984. I just found the original owner's manual in perfect condition. It has been in continual use nearly every day and works fine. Color takes a minute to settle in...There's a metal mesh on the front where...
