    2001 Yamaha 70TLRA no spark

Problem resurfaced. I have no spark. Ran motor for 15-20 minutes at various speeds. Idle was smooth and increase throttle was not smooth. Took it to lake to see if there was a difference when in the water instead of on hose or in barrel. Smooth idle, did not want to take fuel when throttle was...

Yamaha 150 CDI & Control Unit

I had a bulb collapse and the problem was two-fold. 1, the bulb was breaking down and was too flimsy. 2, the tank cap vent didn't work and I unscrewed the cap a bit and it worked fine from then on. I have since replaced the bulb and all lines and installed a new vented cap.

    2 stroke 70 Yamaha dramas

Dunaruna, I would like to thank you for the hair dryer tip. I have been working on a yammy 2-stroke that I can't get to run long enough to get everything hot. I have suspected bad coils but runs great at idle and I am using water hose so it always has nice cool water to keep it from getting...

    2001 Yamaha 70TLRA no spark

Fixed! The kill switch clip(?) was not holding the switch far enough out to disengage the shorting connection.

Carb leaking fuel from hole (fairly large run of fuel)

2002 Yamaha 70TLRA 70hp 2-stroke I pulled this from a shed after sitting for over 4 years. First thing I did was pull plugs and fill with WD-40, waited a few hours and turned crankshaft 180 degrees and did it again. While I waited, I removed the tank and put a new tank with fresh fuel (and...
