    2003 Sea Pro 170CC

Can't think of anything fish related ( downriggers ,outriggers , planer board mast , etc. ) that would fit over that toe busting pedestal. All I can think of is a bar stool type set up that would slip over it and get locked into position with two of the holes in the rod itself . You can see...

    Sealing Closed Cell Foam Flotation

If you could " seal " closed cell foam ,Boston Whaler would of been using that method the day it was discovered. The cells break down when they are constantly being pounded through the hull . Probably 95% of the Whalers built have wet foam ,doesn't stop them.from being used and abused .

    Glasspar Avalon 1966 pricing

Whatever the motor and trailer are worth is where I would start . The hull by itself in my world , is 500 to , if pristine ,1000 .00 . And then you have to find the right ass for the seat . Nothing special about a 66 Glaspar Avalon .

Surprise My electric car is not charged.

Mother Nature is going to do what it wants . Did you know the Great Lakes were formed by glaciers ,when the planet was mostly frozen . Then it warmed up , before people inhabited Earth . Hmmm.

Mercury Barb Male / Female Connection

I would run the engine ,then disconnect the fuel line at the tank . Then fill up the tank and reconnect the fuel line . There is probably some pressure in the fuel line and when you connect the fittings you're releasing that pressure ,gas . Or put a rag around it to catch the gas before it hits...

Question regarding the usage of O3 (ozone generators) to keep water clean

99% of the people I know use bottled water on boats for drinking ,not from the boats faucet . If you use the the water from the tanks on a daily basis it won't go " bad " and start to smell . I do agree with the RV chlorine approach as well .

    Whale Water Heater troubleshooting

Sounds like air in the system. Just keep running the hot water , stop it once in awhile so pressure builds . Happens to me every spring when I fill up the system after draining it for the winter .

Where you buy gasoline is critical.

I use 87 semi ethanol and also buy the cheapest gas from the local Indian reservation, which has always had a unwarranted rap for water in there tanks . Transfer that gas into a few different boats and never ever had a problem with it. Boats don't sit around ,I use them . No gummed up carbs ...

    Bilge sump question

One possibility is the top half of the hull , ( the part above the rubrail ) has water intrusion. The source could be the rubrail , or any part that is bolted or screwed into the upper part of the hull and is not sealed correctly. That water will find its way to the inner hull . Previous...

    Bilge sump question

Doesn't look like the depressed area was done at the factory . Pretty shoddy workmanship . I would think the sump area cut out would of been finished, gel coated like the rest of the sump area . Looks like someone used a hole saw ,overlapped it and cut the top of the finished gel coat / " floor...

    Help finding a boat

Agree , the " swoosh " on the hull side near the stern is there trademark look . Just like Nike uses one to identify there product . Chaparral, could be what it was named or a model name for that hull .

What Year is My Boat 14’ Aluminum Mirro Craft

H-ull I-denification N- umber ,HIN did not start until 1972 , so you are probably looking at the MFG ID or serial number . If it was a HIN then yes , the last two digits are the mfg date . Try fiberglassics .com / library forum . They may have enough specific info about the hull that you can...

    1970-1971 seabird 19

I'm surprised a early , especially , small hull like that would be cored , adds $$ to the sale price which was the bottom line during that time period .

    opinions...snake oil ?or legit.?

Well I Googled it , and it came up., still need anti fouling paint for the hull . The " technology " for that is 30 years old , so it's being re - marketed IMHO . I could see using it on 30' + twin screw salt water boat with all the running gear and through hull fittings they have . Pontoon...

    Can’t Figure out Prop ….

All these comparisons without knowing what gear ratios might be in the outdrive are useless. Who knows if the OPs was swapped out or if his boat is waterlogged with 80 psi for compression numbers . As mentioned OP needs his RPMs # with appropriate load before anyone should be making...

Out to lunch Gear Oil Prices

Don't buy the " marine " oil , nothing but snake oil sales pitch . Gears are gears and any 90 Wt will work, probably comes from the same refinery , assembly line as the " Mercruiser " oil to begin with.
