Yes but I see people at the ramp driving there boats up on the trailer and with a heavy truck and a very will strapped down boat and the motor in deep enough water wouldn't be like a test propeller in a barrel if not better because of the unlimited amount of water
Thanks I wonder also I see people talking 10 and 12 pluses so I am lost it dont make sense as I dont know of an outboard of more than 6 cylinders but again thanks
Hello I been looking and got a number of different answers as to how many pluses to set my tachometer to. Teleflex says 2 pulses and other sites say 5 and even 6 does anyone know the correct setting

Hello I have (2) 30hp johnson 2 stroke, 2 cylinders, engines one is a 1998 and the other is a 2004. I want to buy (2) tachometers but dont know what settings on the back of the tachometer i need and to set to.

Question is there a 4th bolt a very long one up inside after removing the lower gear housing. Looking on the web it shows a midsection and a very long bolts but dosent show exactly where it goes
Hello i have a 1986 8hp johnson sail master I removed the lower unit no problem. But the middle spacer refused to come down the drive shaft is out it ain't that. The shift rod is out it ain't that. The mid section is separated by about 1/2" but no further you would think it should just drop off...
I figured it out when I droped the lower unit to do the water impeller I saw up inside the midsection nuts that hold the rubber bushings in place. I guess whoever needs to replace them you need to drop the lower unit first.

How do the lower side mounts come apart the rubber end is torn off and just the steel half of the mount is on the side lower housing how are the mounted inflate
