    Carb rebuild or not? 1987 165 HP

    I allowed gas to sit in boat for 2 years No Stabilizer) D.A.. Drained fuel from tank and added new fuel and Sea Foam. Cleaned anti-siphon valve and fuel pump filter and bowl. Replaced the filter at the carb. Fuel sprays in the carb when throttle is pumped. I have a spark at the plugs. It...

    Fuel tank pickup

    I need to pull the fuel pickup out of the tank. The pickup has threads that start above the tank and run into the tank. The pickup has a nut on it at the fuel tank. I can get the nut loose but can't break the pickup loose. Any ideas on getting the pickup out of the tank.

    I took the check valve (anti siphon valve) off the fuel tank and in the process cross threaded that valve and the elbow that it came out of. The elbow appears to be threaded into the fuel tank.
