    1996 Mercury 150 EFI runs hot when not on plane

    I have a 1996 Merc 150 EFI on a 18ft Astro F-18. It runs hot if not at idle or on plane. If I run just above idle to 2500-3000 rpm crusing off plane it will alarm out in a short time. Happened for the first time today while out fishing. Any ideas???
