    Time for a new mattress

With our imminent move to a new house we are getting a new mattress. 18 years ago we bought a natural latex foam and we had to make adjustments to it to work but as we age I think it's time to just get one that works out of the box so to speak. So, I've been interested in the Purple for...

Over cooked steak and painting and I never over cook a steak. Add an extra level of hate, it's my ceiling. Got three rooms to do.

2.5 million dollar refurb on a 113 x 21 houseboat. Couple things of note. They used the stern drives that were on there apparently, they were used. The laun h was delayed by 30 or so minutes AT THE RAMP because they needed gear oil. One was low and HAD TO RUN GET SOME. On this big a...

So, had a good day on the water and as usual i did some running just to do some running and i realized i always stand with face above the windsheild as i have on all my boats over the years. I like my current seat but as i age i will need to sit more often so trying to figure that out. Would...

    Spinning reels

Realizing I've not really fished much since my early 30s. From a kid to then it was pretty much my life but since it has been a worm or dock fishing for crappie or whatever every few years so I am discovering I don't know much and when gathering up all my gear I mostly had crap reels and poles...

Has come loose and foam is degraded. Planning on scraping off foam and using contact cement or spray glue like Elwood Blues used. What about the egdes where thy tucked in? Don't think silicone, maybe a gorilla glue?

    Remote battery charging hook up

For trolling motor. I've got the motor stuffed up under the bow so not really easy to get to terminals with the charger clips. What if I bought the male plug and just clip the charger to that. Any concern with running the electricity backwards? It's a minkota endura.

    Cloth seat covers?

Why not? Our patio furniture has them. Why always vinyl on boats?

    Lead acid battery. Two questions

My current battery is use for starting and as my trolling motor backup is a 2018 deep cycle, not sure how many CCA but never had an issue and usually kicks in about 15 seconds and it came from my Carver with a 5.7 mercruiser as the starting battery. First question is I've read one should not...

    a story i wrote today

I am not a writer or story teller, this just happened today. It is set sometime in the semi near future and is based on my reality and my dreams of last night. The People of the Pages Genesis Dad passed a few years ago and Mysti was still floating between Capital Hill and Lopez with...

    Trailer Load musings

Doing some work on the trailer today and while endlessly turning the 11/16 nut at the stern i was thinking about the front of the boat, oddly. I moved the bow stop about an inch rearward for the trip home a couple years ago and just left it. I only have a 50hp on a max rating of 115hp, about...

    Solar charging batteries

Any pitfalls I need to know? Planning on one for the main battery and one for the trolling motor bank. I'll use a two pin minkota type male/female connector rather than hard wired. Looking for a panel that can clip on.
