    Trim pump

no, I took the motor off of it and it's completely rusted inside, I figured it'd be safer just to replace the whole pump

    Trim pump

Well after messing with it for a bit, it looks like my trim pump is done. Curious if anybody can tell me what pumps will work on a 74 mercruiser 140 sterndrive.TIA

    Tilt pump question

Hey, bought this boat, 1974 duo challenger 18 with a mercruiser 140 inboard engine. Not too familiar with the old girl so any help would be appreciated. Is the tilt pump supposed to have a reservoir attached to the bottom? And also, what are the 2 pieces that are attached via hydraulic lines? TIA

    Duo boat question

so another question, I'm not too familiar with these old boats, but isn't there supposed to be a reservoir on the bottom of the trim pump pr is it self contained ? Also, what is the other piece of gear up on the side and the small piece under the blower motor? TIA

    Duo boat question

yeah, I get that, I was just curious as to what I actually had. it'll be restored but it'll be done to my liking. Boat is solid and the engine runs perfect. Needs a complete interior but it'll be custom, I have the skills necessary to do it myself, it's the rails and stuff for the bow and stern...

That was quick! Good to see an active forum! I'm actually in Canada, rules are a little different up here for registration. it's got a 140hp mercruiser inboard engine. I'm restoring the boat and just needed to know the model for finding parts. Thanks for the info!
