Johnson To Hot For Rustoleum Spray Paint?

As if I am not doing enough already I want to spray paint my Johnson 90hrs. For the engine cowl I will probably use the same topside paint that I use on the hull, but for the lower cowl that the powerhead mounts to and the lower unit could I use regular rustoleum, after priming of course.

I usually store my boat with the outboard tilted down. I never liked the idea of water possibly sitting in the lower unit. While I was at work my wife decided to hook the mini van to my boat and move it so she could mow the lawn. She didnt tilt the motor up and my yard looks like it has been...

No comments on livewell fitting drag?

I built a livewell in the back of my boat and used one of those brass strainers for the intake fitting. Aiming toward the front it acts like a scoop helping to prime my pump when the boat is moving. The problem is I installed it on the bottom of the hull near the keel. Now I wonder how...

    Thin The Paint?

Does everyone thin their paint? It seems to me you would be taking away from the paints protective qualities by thinning. Also when I paint the bottom of my fiberglass 20 footer what paint? I fish saltwater in southwest Florida but trailer my boat after every trip.
