    leaking riveted starcraft ('82 MR180)

Run an electricians tape/snake through the length of the hull. See what you come up with. Only thing that comes to mind is foam turned to sponge. Other than putting up with it, I'd say your headed for a project. Personally, I'm passed "full on" projects. I say that now, but.....

    leaking riveted starcraft ('82 MR180)

I know this sounds odd, but the seam sealer will expand the more it's exposed to water. I had an extreme example of this on a wee 12 footer at the weekend hideaway for many years. Every spring it would nearly sink in a foot of water then it sat at a dock all summer with no problems. Still leaked...

My 15' tinner sat all winter level in the shop. Now that its propped up at the tongue, the keel and both strakes are dripping a little. The hull has absolutely zero leaks.

    OK I’ve had enough.

Damn. Sounds like you should be desert living. Nahhhh, gotta be on the water. I have issues, but I live by my own terms. I'd loose my mind if I had to be an inlander. Sorry, let me correct that. I live by the terms of the wife 4 kids and 5 grandkids. lol

    OK I’ve had enough.

19c yesterday, 5c today and still calling for freezing temps in the long range. I may have jumped the gun getting the boats home. Atleast I can tinker.

    Replacing Keel rollers

This might be long winded and not apply, but it seems like you might be where a friend once was. Been here before. Dont want to throw a grenade, but it could be a pain in the azz to get it right. After an experience years ago, I ALWAYS start on flat surface, level trailer and take plenty of...

    OK I’ve had enough.

Never been there, but the wife and I are drawn to television productions done in Australia. Mining, racing and such. Seems to have some brutal enviroments. And whats with the damn flies? lol Take care of those lungs. Kinda need em.

    OK I’ve had enough.

No ice meant for a damp cold this winter. I'd take me a couple days of what you got right now. lol

    OK I’ve had enough.

A week of mediocre sledding, zero ice to punch a hole in and crazy weather swings. Worst winter I can remember. Sweater weather tuesday past 12C, drove home in white out conditions wednesday -12C overnight, -5 all day thursday, 8C yesterday 19C tomorrow. I think it's time to bring the boats home.

Sounds like your content to tinker for now. Stem the flow as best can and enjoy time on the water until the mood strikes to tear into it. The older I get, the longer it takes for the mood to strike. lol

Waytogo Joe. Although I suspect you get as much or more out of the time spent with them as they do. Fake is irrelevent. Just gota let him know the man bun stays at the dock. lol

    2013 legend 20' xcaliber

What Scott said. Fixed or adjustable. You need to do some math. I hung a short shaft off the transome beside the main. Looks like you can do the same. Shortshaft may not work. I had quick connects to connect steering to the main and controlls for the kicker. Good for trolling, but would cavitate...

This fella has a few video's from finding the leaks to fixing the leaks. I believe he speaks about an old Starcraft without removing the floor. You most likely seen his video's by now. lol
