    Quick question

Is there an oil tank anywhere? All OMS systems had a separate oil tank. Don't just assume because the pump is there the injection is hooked up

Will Replacing Rings Increase Compression >105PSI?

I doubt that would be a good running motor with only 105 psi. How fast is the starter spinning? Both plugs out?

That tool is around $300 if you can find it. Buy a factory manual and all the info you need will be in there

1990 90 hp Mercury. Beeping when key turned on.

Those are notorious for the sensor in the tank failing. Unplug the sensor wires and see if the beeping goes away. Run on premix until positive the oil injection is working. And get the carbs cleaned before anything else. Those motors do not have a history of oil injection failure.

    Remove midsection

If it's the exhaust plate on the side of the power head it may come off by just taking the bolts out. If it's the gasket under the power head you have to pull the power head off.

    2000 Mercury 90hp 4 stroke pro series

You will hear it called making oil. The motor runs to cold and can't burn off the condensation. All that excess ends up in the oil pan and Yamahas seem more prone to that. So before anything check your thermostats.

They are good motors. Lower unit is the weak spot on them. Either get it for a good price or test drive it
