    Just a quick point is that you posted an engine manufacture wiring color code chart. ABYC does not apply to the actual engines, the manufacturer of the engine is free to use whatever colors they want. ABYC applies to the wiring of the boat hull itself, separate from the engine wiring.

    See above. That hose is rated SAE J90. Marine fuel line must be rated SAE J1527 to be compliant.

    Black soot is often times a sign of low engine compression. So if you run out of ideas, check that compression.

    Maybe.... If the engine overheated and melted the FI wiring or melted an FI that would do it. Techmates a tough tool to work with as you can not read all of the live data at the same time. Plus if you have DTS techmate won't show you any of that stuff.
