    Replace the points and condensers with factory replacements. Those ignition are notorious for burning up condensors.

    Your top cylinder has an issue. I would expect your spark to jump 7/16" gap. Is that a single carb motor?

    Looks closer to an 88-91 model. Get a better pic of the tag as the model # will tell you exactly. That yr would have used an external TNT. Better to buy an aftermarket unit for it.

    Your motor is running on less than 3 cylinders. Your reverse test proves absolutely nothing.

    Well the buyer got a good deal. The electric start bracket was worth more than he paid for it. Those motors on the healthy side should be about 140 psi.

    The rev limiter should be set at about 5500. 5250 is the top rpm of the motor to prop for.

    Check the fuel system, filters and VST if it has one. Then check spark make sure it jumps 7/16" air gap. Then get the factory nanual

    Do you have the factory manual for your motor? Pretty sure that motor can run without the Rev limiter attached.

    Pretty sure only the jet models of that motor had a rev limiter and it was a separate module.

    No. Recoil and everything else are different. You need a 74-92 powerhead.

    Pic #2 has your idle screw in it. Try turning that down have you done a compression test?

    Is the knob on the front of the motor turned all the way to the right? Is this motor new to you? And stop revving it in neutral on muffs.
